Refresh an excel file automatically from sharepoint

Hi all,

I have an excel file in use, which is made with "power Query".

The file gets data from an SharePoint site.

It is stores on OneDrive.

Every time I open that file, I have to push F5 at first.

Is it possible, to update that file once or twice a day automatically?

(also if my computer is closed)

    Hi,

As far as I know it is not possible to refresh the power query within the excel file using power automate. You could reconsider your power query and reflect that query in a power automate flow instead, if it is only getting data from a sharepoint site or list it might be fairly simple.

    Hi,

    many thanks for your feedback.

Well, in this case it will not work, as I use 3 excel files, which are connected to each other (all on power query)

According this file, it seems also, that office script does also not support power query.

Might it be a solution, to include power query in a makro and run that makro by power automate?

I think makros cannot be triggered either by power automate. And excel scripts cannot execute power query... so I dont think a power query possible right now.

    tank you, I feared that.
