Extracting Email Body Text using Power Automate Desktop

Hi Power Automate Community,

 

The email body from which I would like to extract the text is as follows:

 

Good Day,

Unit ID - 05H782

Sample Date - 2021-04-03

Hours Provided - 7502

Previous Hours - 54987

Service Type - 1000

Sampler - Kitty

The underlined are the text that needs to be extracted and written to excel sheet. Text Extraction is the part that is not easy to figure out.

How to do this using Power Automate Desktop ? Any help to find a solution would be appreciated.

    As an example for Unit ID - 05H782, since you already know that you need to get the text from the 10th position you can fetch the text as below

    Or use regular expressions for more flexibility.

     

    Let me know if there is something else going on in your text.

    Splitting by Newline will give you each in a separate line item

    and then in that row if "Unit ID -" is found apply the above action.

    Many thanks for your help. The split text function using the if condition should work for my flow I think.
