Using a flow to find specific text in a CSV document

Hi folks,

I can't seem to find a solution to this, perhaps it's above my skill level with Power Automate at the moment.

Every day a new CSV report is automatically put into a SharePoint folder, I'm trying to create a flow that can look at the excel CSV file and find specific text in a column.

I'm just looking for it to read the text in a column and if for example the word 'True' is found to then generate a message in teams.

The start and the end I'm okay with but that bit in the middle to find the text is where I am at a loss. Anyone know how to achieve this?

Many thanks!

I'm not sure if the condition will do the trick for you.  That will just tell if the value appears anywhere - not just in a certain column.

If you want to know if certain text appears in a column, you'll need to have the file saved in an xslx format (not csv) and the data will need to be in a table.  Then, you can use a filter query to return only those rows where a certain column has the value the for which you are searching.

    Ahhh thanks @ScottShearer

Yes that's one of the things I was coming up against was that it wanted the data to be in a Table. Unfortunately the data is in a raw csv format, not sure I'll be able to change that to be honest.

I have a starting point at least and the info you've provided is really useful. Thanks!

    Phil.
