Power Automate - Actionable Message Error in Outlook (HTTP 401)

Hi all,

 

For our client, we've developed Power Automate flows that generate Actionable Messages to facilitate an approval process inside of Outlook.

 

In our client's desktop Outlook instance the Actionable Messages render correctly but when we try to click on a button we receive a "The remote endpoint returned an error (HTTP 401). Please try again later." We have also, to our knowledge, set up our HTTP headers correctly. 

 

The interesting thing is that on the iOS and Android Outlook apps the Actionable Messages are rendering correctly, the buttons work without issue. 

 

Furthermore, on our Actionable Email Developer Dashboard we are currently using the "Test Users" scope of submissions. 

 

We were wondering if anyone has an idea why we might be receiving this error? And why it might be working flawlessly on mobile Outlook but not on the desktop version of Outlook.

    Hey guys! Was this solved?

    I have the same problem... I've already tested the post using other tools and it was successful, but with Action.Http it always shows the 401 error.

    same issue! It works on outlook web but not desktop. On this link Issues with flow approval emails in Outlook - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn

    It says "

    Issue 3 - Users receive a message similar to Sorry an error occurred please try again later when responding to messages from Outlook Desktop

    This is a known issue fixed in the June release train of Outlook Desktop, build version 16.0.11901.20167 and higher. The workaround in the meantime is to use Outlook Web (OWA)."
