Can I use an intranet web form as a trigger for a Flow?

Hi,

We are in a process of moving our internal forms from paper to electronic.

We are currently trailing Microsoft Forms + Flow in order to do this.

Our main issue is that the Forms functionality is limited, e.g. the Forms cannot pre-populate fields, i.e. dropdowns with data pulled from other sources, e.g. Azure AD.

Is it possible to use an internal web form (built in Visual Studio / c#), that posts and triggers a Flow?

Thank you for your time,

Ollie

As long as the users are all internal have you considered doing the front end forms in PowerApps?

Hi @Oliver_McErlane, I agree with @Pstork1: using PowerApps will allow you to pull data from multiple sources to use in dropdowns for example. You can still then link it with Flow to send an email to the user with their responses or take some other actions. It's definitely worth having a look at.

    Thanks for your responses.

Where would be a good resource to go and see how to build a basic form that authenticates via Azure AD and can pull data such as the staff team members through to a dropdown?

PowerApps licensing will be based on Office 365 or Azure AD just like Flow, so you are already covered there.  The connectors are the same too, so you can use the Office 365 users connector to get info from user's profiles.  Here's the main documentation page from Microsoft.  Lots of good training there to get started.
