Show text input field on button press

Hi All,

I'm learning a lot from this forum and managing (slowly) to create my first app. However, I can't get this one right (probably very simple).

I have two buttons labelled "Pass" and "Fail". The "pass" button navigates to another screen, no problem. However, I want the "fail" button to open / show a text input field (below the buttons) where the user can input details as to what failed (this is a product testing app).

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

@lascough20  - you could set the 'OnSelect' property of your fail button to the following:

    Set(vargFail, true)

Then set the 'Visible' property of the text input you mentioned to: vargFail

So when someone presses the fail button, vargFail becomes true and therefore your text input becomes visible.

Be sure to reset the variable to false once you have submitted the fail notes using Set(vargFail, false) so that the text box for failure notes is hidden again ready for the next inspection.

    Hope this helps
