Trimming down string

(0) ShareShare

I have a SharePoint single line of text column that I gather in a PowerAutomate flow.

I would need to take the string from this column and trim it down to 15 characters if it's larger than 15 characters.

Could anyone tell me how to do it?

Thanks.

    Hi @leolsdn ,

Could you please share an example of the original string and explain the 15 characters that you want to trim?

    Best Regards,

Hi Alice, This is what I have:

    PPC-List1

As you can see, the SFDC ID is longer than 15 characters and I need it to be trimmed down to 15 characters.  Following @Jcook  I managed to get its length in PowerApps using:  length(outputs('StoreSFDC'))

    PPC-SFDCLength1

Here is the flow so far:

    PPC-Flow1

    PPC-Flow2

and in the end I want the 15-character SDFC variable to be written in a separate SharePoint list:

    PPC-FLOW3

Thanks again for any help you can provide me.    Andrei.

    OK. Managed to do it!!!

    Thanks for all the hints!

Here is the logic that did it:

    PPC-FinalRC

    PPC-FinalRC2
