Hi
I have a Excel File in OneDrive connected as a data source in PowerApps.

Sometimes on the computer (Browser) or even on the phone (App) I get the following error message.
MEPActivities failed: Failed to read the Excel cell content.
Failure reason: Not a legal OleAut date.
clientRequestId: 58065d74-f751-43bb-aad4-6281aa086d41

Usually this problem is solved by itself a few minutes later.
I have arround 20 people working in the app and it´s disruptive and time consuming.

Maybe also importent to know:
Different people are using different region settings on the phones and browsers...
e.g. Some of them are using the German / English / Spanish "Time&Date" format.

Any suggestens on this?

Hi @Daniel30

We have seen this issue whenever the user opened the excel file and file not able to read the file. We need to make sure no user opens the excel file when the application is in use.

Side Note: I suggest converting the source from an excel file to SharePoint if possible. We can save a lot of time and Powerapps works well with Sharepoint. We can leverage other functionality like Lookup, Person, and many data type(s).

Hi,
thanks for the idear to convert to sharepoint. Right now I need to keep it in the excel-File for different reasons.
I am sure, that the excel-File was closed and not opened by the Excel Application itself.

Any other suggestions? It could happen that I needed to delete all the date-fields to get it working again.

Cambia el campo de fecha a texto en la hoja de Excel, y en la aplicación convierte el campo de fecha en texto para guardarlo en el Excel.
