Power Automate when a new response is submitted - Create an event in the calendar

Hello team,

I want to create a mini-app. When user submit a response in forms with a 2 questions:

OleksiyKotikov_1-1683805192851.png
1. What is the date ? - I put calendar option for user to choose the date

2. What time do you want to come? - I didn't find time option, so I just created a drop-down menu with the time slots every 30 minutes.

I want Power Automate to create a meeting for a 30 minutes which will be send immediately with date and time which user chooses to me and to the user which submitted this form.

For now I got stuck here:

I Put in Start time the result of the first "calendar" question and the Time.
I want to have those meeting for 30 minutes, so in END TIME I put "Add minutes(30)"
unfortunately, the format is not correct.

Is it possible to do that ?

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Try this function to parse your time string to a datetime type value:

    parseDateTime(concat(outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r8e52cd8b5c454503ba264921c42fe08f'],' ',outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r06e250ba2fa6414c9e3257a815347b55']))

Remember to change the dynamic content in my formula to yours.

    Here's the result:

Hej @v-wenjuan-msft thank you for tips, but I have a problem.
I did what you asked me to do and here is the error:

    OleksiyKotikov_0-1683886896756.png

I think something is wrong with the compose code itself.

    What I do wrongly ?

    Best regards

    Hi @Anonymous ,

According to the error message, suppose you need to type a blank space in you ''. Like this ' '.

If this is not the solution, copy your formula to me for further check.

    Hi @v-wenjuan-msft ,

Where exactly I need to "type a blank space in you" ?
I copied formula from your previous message, so I can copy once again:

    Compose:

    parseDateTime(concat(outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r8e52cd8b5c454503ba264921c42fe08f'],' ',outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r06e250ba2fa6414c9e3257a815347b55']))

    Compose 2:
    addMinutes(outputs('Compose'),30)

Can I provide something more ?

    Best regards
    Oleksiy Kotikov

    Hi @Anonymous ,

You need to change the highlight part to your own data:

    parseDateTime(concat(outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r8e52cd8b5c454503ba264921c42fe08f'],' ',outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r06e250ba2fa6414c9e3257a815347b55']))

You can copy my formula and paste it in your expression bar, then you need to delete first blue part.

Then switch to "Dynamic content" part, and insert "What is the date?" label into the deletion part.

Then delete the second blue part and insert "What time do you want to come" label.

    Try again next.

    Hi @v-wenjuan-msft ,

Thank you very much, it works good now, we can schedule a meeting between me and responders e-mail.

One more feature, I don't know if it is possible.

1st question, Can I block some dates in calendar ? Since, sometimes we have public holidays.
2st question, If responder booked the time and date, Can we block it for the future responders ?
example: I booked a time and date on 17th of May, at 9:30. The next responder, once go in to the forms link, does not see the option of 17th of May, at 9:30, but 17th of May is available.

    Best regards
