PowerApps Rich Text Editor not saving to DataVerse

Hello All,

I need help with PowerApps. Recently, I have build a PowerApps with Rich Text Editor which allow user to save their inputs into DataVerse. I have configured in DataVerse for the Data Type to be Multiple Line of Text with Maximum character count of 1048576.

When I try to enter text with more than 1929 characters, I am not able to save the data to DataVerse. Or if I make formatting to the text, I am not able to get beyond 2000 characters for it (including the html text formatting).

Can anyone let me know is there any limitation to the Rich Text Editor on the number of characters I can type or format I can make? Or is this a limitation on the DataVerse side? And are there any workaround to get past the limit?

Not sure if this is a possibility for you but a similar post here although does not have an accurate solution but it worked for a member by re-adding the column.

Hello VJR,

Thanks for your recommendation. I tried the following method and it somehow worked for me. But just curious why the maximum limit does not increase after changing it? It only changes after re-adding another column instead

This also worked for me, in relation to a Dataverse entity/table with a maximum character count on a primary name column.

It seems like the settings get stuck. The solution for me was to create a new temporary column, and then go back to my primary name column and update the maximum character count. I was then able to save a longer string.
