Hi all,

I hope someone could help me check on this.

Why SRID formatting isnt working even I've created SRID mapping and whenever I tried to get the SRID formatting in the Update Item-SRID I couldnt find the formatted number instead of that, I used RunningSRID as the SRID.

Please help so I can get the SRID No. Been facing this for awhile now since Im still new to Power Automate.

Thank you very much.

    Hi @Anonymous  ,

What do you mean by SRID here? The ID is generally a unique number in SP list/library that is used to represent serial nos.

If you are asking about a counter that represents the current iteration number then you can initialize a variable and use increment variable action inside apply to each action.

    Hi @Anonymous

Could you pls share the expression used in the "Compose" & "Set variable" action? Pls suggest the number format you are looking for.

    Thanks

    Hi Sanmesh,

    Thank you for replying.

FYI, SRID No. is actually another column created for this process. ID is the unique ID which is a default and auto generated.

Okay thanks for the clarification. Could you please share the format to which you want to convert it to?

    Hi Sanmesh,

I wanted to format the SRID No. as D5 in format number. For example, SRID No. #00001.

However, when I set variable of SRID Mapping to RunningSRID and tried to update the master list it keeps showing e.g 219 instead of 00219. Mind you I have created Format number to

Perhaps you could see the assigned variables on my reply to Manish.

    Thanks.

    Hi @Anonymous

The issue when you pass output of "Format number" action inside int() function, it trims the leading zeros. The result of "Format number" action is a number type which you don't have to convert it again to number type. Pls try passing the output of "Format number" action directly in the "Update item" action. Or add the "Format number" action, just before "Update item" action to get the number in required format.

If this helps & solves your problem, please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

    Thanks

    Hi Manish,

I have removed the int from the SRID mapping but then this issue occurred.

Hence, I put the int as it read as string.

    Please help me on this.
