OData filter column with space

I've been trying to filter out a column Ticket ID from excel and so far have had no luck with the syntext.  I've tried several different methods and none seem to be working.

  • Ticket ID
  • Ticket_ID
  • 'Ticket ID'
  • 'Ticket_ID'

    Hi @robevans

I am not sure if the filter query can handle spaces

Your best bet will be to remove the space from the column name

    @robevans

SharePoint OData filters in Flow usually use a columns internal name.  The easiest way to find out how to refer to a column in your filter is to create a Flow and add a Get Items action (and no filter).  Scroll through the output after you run the Flow - you'll need to refer to your column in the same manner as it appears in the output.  Spaces are usually replaced wit x00200_ but you'll need to check to be sure.  I have noticed that SharePoint online now ususally simply removes the space for the internal name now (didn't in the past).

In my example, the Column name is Ticket ID but I need to refer to the column as TicketID.

    Hi @robevans,

Currently, the Excel connector does not support to put the column name with space as a filter condition.

But you can use the Filter array action to get the value of Excel, for example:Annotation 2019-08-19 163809.png

    I love this solution!

I never would have guessed that 'Ticket #' encodes to Ticket_x0023_ without your solution, thank you!

I'm running into this issue... my excel file has many columns with names with spaces in them.  Are there internal column names for Excel column names?

Not working anymore! I've tried to check internal name of the field with space using Get Rows. The source was an Excel table. This what I've got:

    ...
    "Calculated SD": "44107",
    "Calculated ED": "44134",

    ...

I'm done with ODATA filtering. It is so unusable. I've tried it several times and each of theme it was a nightmare.

If you can stay away from using ODATA filtering as long as you have other options!

This is how you can remove spaces from an Excel spreadsheet: do a "Create table" and set Column names.

By the way, you can set a range for the table with the column range (A:N). No need to put specific row ranges.

    Hope it helps!

    Leandro.
