The response ID in request URL is invalid.

I'm having trouble understanding why my "Get response details" is null.

From the "When a form is submitted" step, I have the following output. I have a responseId:15.

However, when I get to the next step "Get response details" the reponse_id is null.

So I'm getting the "The response ID in request URL is invalid." error message. Can someone explain?

    Hi @adrianhoang997

As response id is the property of value object which is an array, so you need to add "Apply to each" action, pass the value object as input. Inside apply to each action, add "Get response details" and pass the response id from value object to get the value of the fields.

    Here is an example:

Pass the response id to "Get response details" action as shown below:

If this helps & solves your problem, please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

    Thanks

It looks like Split On is turned off for your When a new response is submitted trigger which means it will try to process multiple forms at a time hence why you are getting the Apply to each.

To fix this, go into Settings for the trigger, turn on Split On, and select the Array item. This will configure the trigger to run for each form submitted (not multiple at once), and you won't get the Apply to each.

    Thank you very much.🥇🍻

There is a forehead shaped hole in our wall because of the new flow designer and there being now published work around to the for each loop that 'Did not occur in the old designer'

.......why the heck don't Microsoft have some documentation available on the changes that occur between new and old designer instead of leaving us to waste our life trying to find solutions to their poor-quality products.

This SOLUTION is a life saver for me. I have a lot of Microsoft Forms built into SharePoint sites, when staff response, it is the trigger, the response is submitted, we have a lot of actions that come from that submission. SP List, Document Folders, Emails & Data to Excel tables.

But with the change to new designer, suddenly the old get response is either not working, or we're stuck with this dumb 'for each loop'. So with the for each loop - for every submission, it would get all responses existing in the form and start actions on them. You can image the multiplicity of SP List items, Folders, Emails & Rows in the Excel Tables... all now requiring manual remove of the multiplicity of responses.

It has caused us many $$$$$$10,000 in time this little change, all because there is no documentation or help on what will now behave differently with the change to the new designer.

Bring on the New - please provide advisory info that is findable on the web, on what will be impacted by the change..
