Hello Experts,

I have been struggling to get the flow working which creates an email message record in D365 CRM.

Especially with setting activity party.

Any help/links would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Priyank

You can use the lookup format for that, contacts(guid).

Below is an example, if that helps?

In my case this worked. You don't need to use Queue if that's not applicable:

Then further below, Description = body of email and Subject = Subject of email.

Also in order to relate the email to a record in CRM, you need to fill the Regarding field. There are a lot of tables to choose from, usually this is Contact, Case, Lead, or something like that.

Finally you may need to set the Status Reason.

Be aware that this is not a normal way to create an email message in D365 and it may trigger unwanted behavior. There are numerous, OOB possibilities that you should explore before resorting to something like this.

    Thank you for your replies.

As I'm not getting a drop down for activity party attribute name, I managed it using an array as shown in this link.

But now facing a weird issue.

I want to set its regarding to a quote

    I tried to use both

    and

    the flow gets saved successfully.

But, after I close the flow and edit it again, I only see

so, when I run the flow, it gives the following error.

    
Action 'Add_a_new_row' failed: URL was not parsed due to an ODataUnrecognizedPathException. Resource not found for the segment provided in the URL

That's strange. Not quite sure what that could be. Have you peeked the code? Maybe start over with a new flow, kind of looks like a glitch.

    Finally, got it working.

Deleted the action and added again.

The issue still persists, but whatever I save for the first time remains saved.

    Thanks everyone for your inputs.
