Hello Community Members,

Any help will be appreciated!

I was facing an issue with one of the scenarios that I wanted to build in a Power-Automate flow.

Scenario:

Whenever a Post or a response to a post in a Teams channel of a user will be made, the Site Owner should get notified with a personal chat message. Next to the Site Owner, all Members of the Channel will receive this notification. The only exception is User B, the author of that Post [The person posting].

I have tried it by giving the values manually, But I was confused about what to take in the condition when it comes to taking the value from the dynamic content. [To fulfill, all Members of the Channel will receive this notification except those who are posting in the team's channel].

Thanks in Advance

    Hi , @Lidia

According to your screenshot, your For each action return this error code.

    vyueyunmsft_0-1710811278386.png

This means the expression of the input parameter is wrong . This may the issue for the new designer. You can go to the old designer and re-put this parameter .

You need to use this expression “body('Filter_array')”  instead of "outputs('Filter_array')['body/value']":

    Hii Yueyun Zhang,

    Thank you for the reply!

But Still, I didn't get the condition we should have to use to send it to all the channel members except to those who are posting in the channel. How can this be achieved dynamically? Can you please explain me in detail?

    Hi ,  @Lidia

    Thanks for your quick response!

According to your description, you want to dynamically set your condition. Now you use the manually input value to compare. And how can your maunnally display name (Lidia Holloway;Johanna Lorenz;Henrietta Mueller) get in your flow run history?

    Hi , @Lidia

Thanks for your response! So which action output can get the three display name (Lidia Holloway;Johanna Lorenz;Henrietta Mueller) in your side? If we need to set the condition dynamically, we need to dynamic extract these displayNames from above actions in your flow.

    Hi @v-yueyun-msft
I was facing one more issue. In the flow given below, I was extracting the group owner and selecting the mail from the select data operation. However, the select output is not shown in the dynamic content. I wanted to send email to the site owners who are present in that site.

    Hi , @Lidia

According to your screenshot , you have extracted the Emails using Select action in your side.

So , in your send email action, you can directly use this code :

    join(body('Select'),';')

    Hi @v-yueyun-msft
Can we give it like this for sending notifications to all the channel members except those who is posting dynamically without taking it manually? So it will exclude the author of the post.
Then, It will filter the members other than the current user. I have tried it from my side. Can You please check it.
I really appreciate any help you can provide @v-yueyun-msft.

    Hi , @Lidia

According to your screenshot , you use the filter array to filter out the current user mail. There seems has no error in your flow. You can try to test it in your side.

    Best Regards,

    Yueyun Zhang

    Hi @v-yueyun-msft
The condition I used also filtered the channel members, including who is posting in the channel😥. Can you please test it once on your side.
