How to Trigger "File system - When a file is added or modified (properties only)" on all subfolders

Hello,

I'm building a flow to move files from a on-premise location to a SharePoint Library.

I've configured the Gateway and the flow and everything is working.

Except the trigger is only working on the selected location and not Subfolders in that location.

Below a screenshot of my flow. Is there any way to make it work with subfolders?

    Hi @SWIBR

Unfortunately that's not possible currently. As stated in the action's tooltip, you should create a new trigger/flow for each subfolder (which is obviously not the best solution).

    Hope that helps!

@fchopo Hi, any chance you would happen to know what the last sentence of the tooltip refers to? In this case, what is meant by "multiple triggers should be created" -- don't flows generally have 1 trigger? Currently stuck on this myself.

Hello @virakones , did you find a solution to this problem? I am struggling with this problem as well.

    hi @SimonaB

I did not find a solution that triggered on new sub folder modification/creation.

In my case, I opted to simple do a scheduled flow -- very loosely below:

    • Trigger: Schedule run every 15 minutes
    • Added a "subtract time" action (subtracting 15 minutes from "now")
      • Add an additional convert time zone action previous to this if youd like to work specifically in your timeszone instead of `utcNow()`
    • List folders with modified time greater than subtracted time and work off of that

So in this case, it wasn't triggering new sub folder creation or modification but instead checked for new or modified folders every 15 mins.
