Why are optional fields showing up as mandatory in Instant Flow

I created an Instant flow.  Datasource is a SharePoint list.  Columns are not mandatory in SP. In the instant flow I check the box for the fields to be optional but when I fill out the fields, they still show up as mandatory.

    Hi @SharonS 

     

    Pls click menu(...) on right side of a parameter:

    Choose "Make the field optional" from the sub menu:

    Similarly, perform the same actions for second parameter 'Text' and save the flow.

     

    When you run the flow, parameters will become optional:
