Hi, what does this mean?

I've created an automated flow such that when a task in Planner is completed in one bucket, a new one is created in the next bucket. I also added a fixed checklist to be added.

The new task IS created in the new bucket - but the checklist doesn't show.

There are 20ish checklist items.

Hoping for a quick response, and will upvote answer if helpful - thanks!

    Hi @Automation12345

There is no absolute answer. It could be that the task isn't fully created (yet) so you should put a Delay action between the create and the update, so that there is time.

I would give that a go first.

If I have helped you, I would really appreciate if you please Mark my answer as Resolved/Answered, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

    Cheers

    Thank You

    Thank you Michael,

I have just tried that with 1 minute and 2 minute delay, and same issue.

Any other theories/things you think I can try?

    Thanks!

I guess that the maximum allowance is 9

I just received the same error.  I have many Flows set up and the have been working correctly until today.  Has there been an update to Flow that would cause this error?  I have over 75 checklist items that I am not able to generate.

Did you find a solution to this error?my flows have just started doing this and were previously fine, I cant work out what has changed?

I don't believe there is a workaround, because powerautomate has a maximum allowance of 9. Unless having the paid plan.

Yes, we found a workaround.  Unfortunately, I had to have someone go in and manually delete most of the prior completed tasks in the flow.  I was over the limit in the flow.  Once this was complete my flows began to process again as usual.  I was told to create another flow that would automatically do the delete after a specific timeframe but have not done this yet.  I not very savvy in the "Flow" language.  Hope this helps.

Fantastic! that makes absolute sense! thank you for sharing. I am also not that savvy and the suggestion to go in an create a new flow to delete old tasks doesnt really suit our scenario as we use it as a control, so need for record keeping. I was able to get it to work also by sharing to another sharepoint and making it a cloud flow, as previously it was a personal flow, so maybe that had something to do with it too

I am fairly new to this, how do you delete completed tasks? and is there a way to increase the limit?

@AnkurVerma  you just go into the planner  and change it to grid view, then you can highlight and delete the completed tasks from this section
