Why the first free row of a blank worksheet is 2?

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all well. I am new to power automate desktop.

My flow has only two actions. 1) launch a blank worksheet. 2) get the first free row/column.

I can't understand why it skip A1 which is definitely empty, and return the first free row and column as 2?

Thank you!

Do you know the column you want to get the first free row on? If so I recommend trying "Get first free row on column from Excel worksheet" -action instead. It doesn't seem to have this issue.

    Hi @AdeleSS ,

If you want only the know whether the cell of the row is empty or not of a particular column. You can you this below action.

If you use Get first free column/row from Excel worksheet action it will check the entry row. That means even if first row of the column is empty and if next row of the column is not empty it will not consider.

If you want get the know the entire row is empty or not then you can use the below action.

Although I don't understand the principle, your suggestion has helped me solve the problem I am currently facing! Thank you. These actions can be really confusing at times.
