Extracting data from Excel table

Hello All,

I am trying to extract data from a Excel table in SharePoint and use that data to replace a string value inside .qid files.

I have several FX deals inside a single .qid file like the example below. I want the flow to replace the Cparty= name with the new names from the excel table.

Here is the excel table:

Here is the flow I have so far:

The end result which is in Compose 4 should contain the new counterparty names in "Cparty=" rows but currently this is not happening. So the issue is that the names are not changed/replaced in "Compose_3" step.

The flow runs successfully. No errors are detected. But it does not deliver the expected result.

Any ideas on what I am missing ?

Here is the result from Compose 4 (Final Step)

    Dear A,

It sounds like you have identified the key point already ... ' issue is that the names are not changed/replaced in "Compose_3" step'.

In these situations I try to bring back the flow to its most basic steps and build upon that. Suggest that you create a separate simple flow which only includes the Compose 3 action. Simulate the input first and see that the replace function works ... once you have that sorted, expand the flow to add steps towards what you all need ... ensure that you increment smalls steps and ensure that each increments works before you proceed. Try not to increment too fast.

    Hope the suggestion helps,

    Happy flowing,

    Koen
