Power Automate Per User Plan VS Per Flow Plan

Hi all,

I looked through the Power Platform licensing guide, especially on Power Automate, and I have a query about Per User Plan and Per Flow Plan. Thanks for your help in advance.

Per User Plan - Allow single user to create unlimited flows, if other people need to activate the flow, they will need to have the same license.

Per Flow Plan - For wider audience without individual license, min 5 flows to be purchased.

So does that mean, if the nature of my flows are not meant to trigger by different users, but more like just back-end processing, e.g. scheduled flow to move data from 1 location to another location, do some data processing. It seems like I can just buy 1 per user plan? With this single license I can create unlimited automated scheduled flows with no string attached?

Seems to me per flow plan is only feasible if I have very big number of users who need to trigger the flow (such as instant flow), and I do not want to buy individual license for all of them. But for scheduled flow type, I don't really need to have Per Flow Plan right?

    Hey Mate,

The per user plan is intended to support the broad adoption of an automation culture in an organization. Every user with this plan is entitled to use an unlimited number of flows, within service limits. The per flow plan provides an organization with the flexibility to license by the number of flows, instead of licensing each user accessing the flows individually with the per user plan
