    Came across this posting while looking for a solution to my issue.  The SelfServiceAppointmentID in the original Bookings Event can be used to locate and link  with updated  calendar events after they are created as it does not change and is unique to every Booking regardless of its status.  Challenge is to find a way to write this as a customer variable / value and save it with the calendar event when created, retrieved and updated.   This should allow you to locate and filter on the desired event when a booking update / cancellation comes through. 
     
    If you happened to have already found a solution to this, apologies for the late reply and would you let me know what your solution was please?
