VBA macro in Excel for android

Hello There,

I have an excel file that runs well on desktop using VBA macros for some basic math funcionality. The problem is that from android tablet or Ipad the file doesn't work due the deprecation of the VBA on this excel version.

Someone has any idea on how to convert or transform the macros in something accepted by excel on tablets? I already tried thirty parts products like AndrOpenOffice, but without success even if I selected the low security level for the macros.

I'm struggling to understand if I need to restart everything from scratch using different tool.

Really appreciated any suggestion.

Thanks,

Cheers

Carlo

Hello, VBA macros will never run on Android devices. you can explore Office Scripts and see if you can do the same thing you did with VBA. sorry for that.

    Hi There,

For the given scenario where VBA macros are not supported on Excel's tablet versions.

Migrate your VBA functionality to Power Automate flows that can automate tasks and perform actions on your Excel data. This can be used with Excel Online, which is accessible from tablets.

Office Scripts is a feature in Excel for the Web that allows you to automate tasks. Convert your VBA code to Office Scripts, which uses a JavaScript-like syntax.

If interactivity is a concern, consider creating a Power App that interfaces with your Excel data and rebuilds the VBA functionality within the app.

For best compatibility across devices, consider moving away from VBA and adopting the above cloud-first solutions.

Please give kudos and mark as solution if it helps.

    Thanks,
