Intermittent Bug in Pen Control on some Android devices

We are using the Pen Control to capture signatures on Android phones (just using finger, no stylus). On occasion the Pen Control becomes unresponsive recording only straight lines and the App has to be restarted for the control to work properly again.

Two example shown below as well as device specs.

Hard to determine exactly how frequent this is, we have many users taking many signatures per day, but we are seeing the issue multiple times every day and my feeling is this happens about one time in twenty.

Please check this thread.Powerapps Pen input bug
As @mobaky mentioned, Microsoft has made some change to PenInput control which should have only effected the output image but it is possible that this caused a regression to the control. However, Microsoft has recently reverted the change and it should be available in the next version studio (You will need to republish to see the change).
As an alternative workaround, try to revert your app to a version published with an older studio to check your issue is no longer present.

Cannot afford to revert to prior versions as there is new functionality that needs to be rolled out, so the only option is go forward (and retest everything in case that introduces new/different bugs).

Some message needs to get back to the product team that the lack of quality control is really cause a lot of work and concern over the viability of PowerApps as a platform.

Can you point to any resources on the relationship between the PowerApps studio versions and PowerApps Player (e.g. Android/iOS) versions?

E.g. We know (through bitter experience) that republishing a perfectly functioning App via a newer version of Studio (and we cannot choose the Studio version when publishing) can introduce new bugs and break existing functionality. As such, we know that the advice is to do a full test of the App when republishing. What is the situation with the Player versions? Is the advice to do a full App restest with every new version of the Player also?

As we move into a 'maintenance' phase for Apps we have deployed, we are finding that the amount of testing required far outweighs the time/effort saved in the initial App development by using PowerApps rather than traditional platforms.

Form this article, you can know the global availability date, new features, and improvements of each PowerApps studio version.
You could try to determine the studio version via the publishing date.
