Office365Users and Office365Groups Security Concerns - How secure is it?

I want to integrate the Office365Users and Office365Groups connectors into my Canvas apps for work use but I'm a bit concerned about the security aspect of using the connectors as it does pull some groups from Entra ID.

Does anyone know how secure using these connectors are and if there is any sort of documentation that talks about it? I'd like to know if it could potential open up some security hole that could put my work data at risk.

Thanks!

    Hi @vic_mool ,

Really appreaciate you asking security concerns about connectors but happy to tell you that there are no security concerns when it comes to integrating your canvas app within Microsoft Services universe because microsoft takes care of the security of all services by Authenticating each user directly from the Entra ID (previously Azure Active Directory) so no one outside of your organization can access your canvas app or it's data (it should be stored within your organization resouces i.e. Sharepoint, Dataverse or Sql)

There is a risk of sending emails to multiple people if you are not carefull with the use of security groups or shared mailboxes when you use them in power automate.

You can read all about these connectors here

Thanks for this! I guess the concern is more like if people in my org is using the app and is accessing some groups or users from the Office365 connectors, would there be any possibility of a security leak? For example, when the Office365Group connector is used, could its use somehow leak the data? Or should this not be a concern since it is still within a Microsoft service and not some third party plugin? I guess I'm looking at the connectors as some sort of third party plugin where I have no idea what sort of security standards are set for these connectors and risk the data leak, but maybe I'm looking at it wrong since it is a microsoft service plugin
