Create a daily worksheet with information from a form

Hi there,

I am looking to create a recurring daily worksheet. The information would come from the form. The trouble is how to do I know what the next table will be? How do I make it recurring? (condition?)

Thank you,

Can you explain your goal more? I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish?

Are you saying that you want a new worksheet/table to accept all form responses for that day?

So like people would use the MS Form to sign into a building on Monday. And all of the responses go into an Excel Monday table. Then on Tuesday people use the MS Form to sign into the building, and all of the responses go into an Excel table for Tuesday.

I made up that example, which is not a great one, but can you explain more about what you are doing?

    Hi,

Thank you for your response. Your example is correct.

A form that is used to collect information multiple times a day.

I'd like to automate that each day a new worksheet is created to collect the information.

What is the best way to do this?

    Thanks again,

    @TT12

The Microsoft Forms connector does not allow you to easily retrieve multiple responses. You'd have to loop through each response ID but that doesn't give the ability to filter for only the that day's responses.

I would suggest you have two flows. First flow collects all form responses in an Excel table:

    1) When a response is submitted
    2) Get response
    3) Add row to Excel table

The second flow is a recurring flow that runs once per day.

    1) Recurrence trigger
    2) Excel connector: List rows present in a table using a Filter query in the advanced options to collect responses submitted on a particular date
    3) Add those responses to an empty excel file

Note, its not easy to create empty excel files within Power Automate. Therefore, create it manually as a template, copy the file in your flow and dynamically populate the copied file. This retains an empty excel template for each day's run.
