I know this question sounds silly, but I really need to understand all the technical reasons why this is not possible.
I've notice that if I share the app from the dev environment with other people within the company they can open the app and add info. Don't get me wrong I know the importance of keeping the information and the app available to the users without interruptions and other issues, and that it's better to keep the development separate. But I do need more than that to persuade my manager that we need a Power Apps License.
So, I'd appreciate if you could help me with this.
The primary reason is because its not legal to use a developer environment for production. Developer environments have expanded licensing that gives you free access to Premium features. The one limitation is that they can't be used for Production applications. So yes, you can share it with other people so they can help you in developing the app. But there is a legal requirement for licensing to use it in production. Here's the documentation that specifies it can't be used for Production. About the Power Apps Developer Plan - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn
