I created a Flow on the opportunity form. It worked yesterday. Today I am getting the following error:

Time:
Server/Client Correlation ID: f6ede30c-e3a7-4d23-91f3-7a6677fae134
Error: Cannot read property 'set' of undefined

I do not understand what is the error.

    Hi again

So, yesterday you selected a record, Flow was executed properly; but today you selected a different record and got an error, right?

If so, can you compare both records an ty to find the difference? MAybe a field available in the one that succeded is empty in the one that failed, or something

Also, in which of your action blocks is this error shown?

    Hope this helps

    thanks for your reply...

Actually it is the same opportunity.

I tried it again this morning, and now i get a different result. No error as above, but the error is:

The 'Create' method does not support entities of type 'activitypointer'.

To summarize, I am trying to create a Flow button that will send an email with an attachment. If i create the flow with the office365 action, it works great. the email goes out BUT it is not recorded in CRM.

So i am trying to create an activity record to send an email and then another flow that will trigger on that create and send the email. it is a little roundabout, but that is the only way I see to do it now. but if i cannot create the activity...

    is there a better way?

    Hi!

Probably I am not the right person to answer your question since my knowledge of CDS is extremely limited. LEt's hope somebody else can point us to the right direction

IN the meanwhile, I search the error message in Bing and found some threads, one of them is another topic on this same comunity:

"You can't create an activitypointer object, that's a sort of a collection of entities that are of activity type and inherits some characteristics from activitypointer."

    https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/201969/create-update-method-not-allowed-in-activity-pointer-crm-2016/522490

"When I first created Activity. I got error: The 'Create' method does not support entities of type 'activitypointer'. -> we need to define specificly as it is a Task/Phone call/Appointment."

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Dynamics-365/td-p/111244

    Hope this helps
