Hi

I have a use-case to set up an iPad that will be used as a digital ‘suggestion box’ to allow factory staff to submit suggestions.  The app is just a simple form (your suggestion (free text), your name (free text) and submit button).  The data will write to a SharePoint list.

I am not sure where this would stand in terms of licensing.  We would have a fully licenced user account signed into the iPad and invite factory staff to complete the form and press submit.  Much like handing an iPad to a customer at an event asking for registration details.

In my head this should be fine as we are not sharing credentials or asking staff to login with the account.

Thoughts?

    @Danj_b ,

    The scenario you described needs a powerapps for office 365 license for your “service user”, which is a complete different user from your staff’s one A suitable minimum license you need is a Microsoft 365 Business Basic.

    Also from what i saw I don’t think that your scenario is against Microsoft code of conduct, so that no worries about it.

    Hope it helps !

    Thanks

    Yes I will have a full licence logged into the iPad.

    Obviously the factory staff are not licensed and don’t have IT accounts - they will literally just walk up to an iPad on the wall and press submit with their feedback. They will not be logging in or working with the data etc.

    Does anyone else have an idea on this?
