Trigger flow based on value in a field

Hello,

Please have a look at the flow below.

It is triggered when in a specific Salesforce object a record is modified. However what I would like to be able to do is only trigger the flow when a specific field is that record is given a specific value.

In this example the flow should only be triggered when the field Status' is given the value Approval Requested (see second printscreen).

Thanks

Wim

    Hi @Anonymous,

Do you want your flow to be triggered when the Status column is given a specific value (Approval Requested)?

I think your thought is correct, I have made a test on my side and my flow's configuration as below:6.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:6.JPG

On your side, within condition box, left input box set to Status dynamic content of the trigger, right input box set to Approval Requested, middle drop down set to is equal to.

Please try it on your side, then check if it could achieve your needs.

    Best regards,

    Kris

    Hello@v-xida-msft

    @merwan

The flow works indeed, but my problem is that it generates a lot of useless flows.

By useless flow I mean a flow that is triggered by a change that has nothing to do with the status field. This results in a flow as shown in the second printscreen: it starts, but is immediately stopped as the first condition is not met.

This also results in a poluted overview of the past flows (see first printscreen).

What I would like to know if I can refine the connector 'When a Salesforce record is modified' so that it only triggers when a certain field of a Salesforce object is modified or is given a certain value.

    Thanks!
