Hello everybody,

I am sorry to bóther you but I can't get all the requied actions together (I am new to automate). I am the headteacher of a school and I want to automatically send my parents an update on their pupils progress.
For this we have an excel spreadsheet with the username of the parent (as message reciever) in each row and the message to be send to his user next to it.
On an easy or scheduled event I want that all messages of this spreadsheet should be send to the different users.

Is there a way to do that?

Thank you so much!!!!Sascha

    Hello @SaschaBerner ,

I think you can easily use the excel action “list rows present in a table” (the excel table must be already formatted); then add the outlook action “send email”: in the “to” field add your user value got from the previous excel action, and in the body add your message always got from the previous excel action. The system will automatically create an “Apply to each” loop, and that’s normal, cause it will have to send an email for each table row.

    Marco

    Hello and thank you.
I will need the send Teams Chat action, but the rest seems good to me. But I can't find the table in the xlsx document.

How do I need to format the excel- file?

    Hello @SaschaBerner ,

please open your excel spreadsheet and format your range as a table.

    please refer to this article:

    I am progressing 🙂 Thanks.
Now I have access to the headers. And I tried to send a chat message to my own user.
This has not worked so far:

"Benutzername" means "Username" and is in the excel-sheet

I also get this error message: Error while executing the "Apply_to_all" template action. The result of evaluating the foreach expression "@items('Apply_all_2')?['username']" has the type "String". The result must be a valid array.

The account which is used to create the chat group (the account from the connection) is also added as a member. So, you don't need to add that account as member, otherwise that account will be marked as a duplicate member.

Thank you...that worked. A chat was initiated to the two members of the excel list.
But there are no messages in the chats. Is it possible to send the contents of the "Nachricht" cells next to the usernames to the matching chat?
