Error when trying to setup alert trigger for PBI alerts using Microsoft Flow

Hi,

I've setup all the alerts in Power BI service and then have setup the trigger in Microsoft Flow, though when I do a test email I get an error.

I've setup a trigger before and had no issues.

"Flow failed to run"

{"error":{"code":"MicrosoftFlowCheckAlertStatusEndpointThrottled","pbi.error":{"code":"MicrosoftFlowCheckAlertStatusEndpointThrottled","parameters":{},"details":[],"exceptionCulprit":1}}}

Microsoft flow failed to run.PNG

Using "send an email to any audience when a power bi data alert is triggered"

Thanks for your help in advance!

    The 429 error suggests that there are too many requests being sent to the server and the server will reject them because of throttling.

    Try changing the alerts frequency or check do you get the same error when the actual flow is triggered?

    Hi @Anonymous,

    Please open a support ticket with Microsoft so they can look into ti what else is throttling your request as they can give you specific insights into each flow run.

    Any updates on this?

    I have the same error when testing:

    {"error":{"code":"MicrosoftFlowCheckAlertStatusEndpointThrottled","pbi.error":{"code":"MicrosoftFlowCheckAlertStatusEndpointThrottled","parameters":{},"details":[],"exceptionCulprit":1}}}

    Please help

    I got the same error.

    It was appearing when testing manually.
    When I changed the testing to "Automatic" the error changed and it was clear that the "Send an e-mail" step caused the issue.
    It turned out that the second step needed to change to Outlook - Send an email (V2) step.

    It was really confusing as the MicrosoftFlowCheckAlertStatusEndpointThrottled was irrelevant and it was not the real issue!

    Thanks, Julia.

    This helped me resolve.... and for me I didn't have another error, it was just the manual trigger causing it as I believe a disconnect between not having an actual alert from PBI in a manual triggered instance.

    Thank you! Julia. it helped me a lot. if you didn't explain me the outlook step it would be very difficult for me to resolve this.

    Thanks a Lot!!!!!!!

    Julia, this is literally a life saver. The initial error message I saw could easily lead people to wasting hours trying to fix a relatively small problem.
