Can you change gallery layout programmatically?

I need to change the gallery layout on the fly, can that be done? If so, how? I can't find anything that supports this idea, so I'm thinking it's not possible, but ever hopeful, I have to ask. Thanks.

Do you any examples of what the potential layouts you'd want to have?

The closest thing I can think of that may work for you is the Horizontal & Vertical containers (assuming you've not already looked into these) - I've used these in the past to support layouts for mobile and PC devices for a single app, that includes having dynamic layouts for galleries.

Hi @AmyF

As @MaximusDecimus mentioned, you could change the gallery to horizontal or vertical gallery.
Apart from this that @MaximusDecimus mentioned, you could also change the gallery layout by changing the gallery properties (i.e., choose the list of options and edit fields):
Also, you could add controls into your gallery by clicking on the first rows of the gallery, then inserting the controls to do customization based on your needs.
