Delete SharePoint Group Calendar event when item list is deleted

Hi,

I have a workflow that, when an email application leave arrives, it creates an item in a SharePoint list. When a list is created, SharePoint group calendar will automatically create the event.

I need to create a flow when an email arrives and leave application is cancelled, it will auto delete the SharePoint list item and the SharePoint calendar event.

Thanks for the help in advance! :)

What details are you registering in the SharePoint list item. Which specific columns are you using? Can you share a screenshot of your SharePoint list columns setup?

It would be useful to know this for the lookup of the item which needs to be deleted.

Thanks for sharing, that is useful information.

I am not seeing any custom unique identifier columns in your list setup, like a Leave ID. But you could also use the system ID field or match on Name, Start Date & End Date via a Get Items.

What would be the format of the leave application cancellation email? Can you share an example of that as well?

Ideally, the subject would contain the ID of the list item. In that case you could extract the id and find the related SharePoint List item.

    Hello,

    I have a similar setup ....
What i do is i also have a column named EventID.This is where i store the ID of the specific event when it is created
Then i use another flow for when an item is deleted from sharepoint list and i use the outlook connector to cancel that specific event

@Expiscornovus, here's the email format for approved and cancelled leave.

    Approved leave

    Details Extracted from email:
    Name
    Leave Type
    Start Date
    End Date

    Cancelled Leave

Like mentioned by @NM-06090901-0, it would be useful to also store the event id in your list as well.

Below is an example where the list item id is used.

    1. Additional columns in list setup (id can be made visible via the show/hide option, event id is a custom single line of text column)

    2. Example email including the list item id

    3. Flow setup. The below expression is used to retrieve the Id value from the Subject field, which in this setup is placed before the colon. It is retrieved via split and first functions in an expression.

    first(split(triggerOutputs()?['body/subject'], ':'))

@Expiscornovus, Thanks for the help. In my case, my flow for the the sharepoint list and sharepoint calendar are separate so i need to match each ID's. after the two flows have equal ID's, it started to work :)
