Add Trello username to Trigger conditions

I am trying to create a flow that creates a Microsoft To Do task when I am assigned to a card in Trello. There are template flows that create To Do's and Tasks from Trello cards but since we are a large team I only want the one that are specifically assigned to me.

Any good suggestions of how I can add my Trello @username to the Trigger condition, which syntax should I use?

hi @DonnieSC  the only way that I can suggest do that is using API from trello to get the user see the docs

Thanks @ChristianAbata , that looks like something down the right track, but frankly I have no idea how to use it.... Where do I enter what data to make this work? (I don't know anything about code...)

Ok thanks @ChristianAbata for the link and the video. Way to complicated for me, I'll guess I'll just have to wait until someone else gets it done 🙂 But thanks for the solution.

    Hi @DonnieSC,

If you want to add the username into the Trello trigger condition, there is impossible to do it cause there is no field about username in the trigger.

As a workaround, there is a method that finds the members of the card whether contains the specified username, if it contains create To-Do, steps show as below:

Thanks @v-litu-msft , I'll give that a go (tried once but it gave an error in the first step "Rate limit exceeded" but I'm guessing it's my mistake, will try again)

I'm sorry @v-litu-msft but this one doesn't work as far as I can see? Maybe I am mistaken, but the one you have described here needs to have a specific card specified "list member for a card" which means I have to pick one (1) card that has my name attached to it.

But I want a flow that creates a To-Do when my name gets assigned to any card on the board, that's the whole point of the flow in the first place, when the team uses Trello, and people get assigned to cards, then they automatically get a To-Do task created so they see what tasks they have to complete.

Any ideas for how to make that happen?

    Hi @DonnieSC,

No, Car Id in the List member for a card action gets from the newly created card, not a specified card. It will get all members of the new card. And the following steps in my example are to determine these members in the card whether it contains me, if contains, create a new To-do.Annotation 2020-06-01 180551.jpg

Also, you could set the Name to anyone, "Tom", "Jerry", etc. If the members contain them create a to-do.

@v-litu-msft  I had missed the "dynamic content" part, now it works like a charm!

Thank you so much for all the help!
