Http Send Request to create a password link (Password not working)

Hi,

I created a flow to share a document library with a generated link and a password.

The flow works but for some reason the value I am using to generate the password does not seem to work.

Basically I am using this to generate the password :

concat(variables('Dictionary')[rand(0,64)],variables('Dictionary')[rand(0,64)],variables('Dictionary')[rand(0,64)],variables('Dictionary')[rand(0,64)],variables('Dictionary')[rand(0,64)],rand(0,9),rand(0,9),rand(0,9),rand(0,9),rand(0,9),'!')

The output is perfectly fine.

My Http send request is as followed :

I used the "password":"variable generated" to generate the password for the shared link, I get the link and when I try to enter the password that is supposed to be the one that was generated above, it keeps telling me that the password is invalid.

When I enter a password manually, everything works perfectly.

Also I am trying to find the document about the link Kind and role to be able to get a link that lets anyone with password can upload only, is it possible?

Thank you,

    Hi @noar,

Just tried to reproduce your issue and I was unable to. Your POST request payload seems to work fine. I was also able to update/set the password of one of my files in my dev environment.

Only thing which I was not able to check is how you generate your password and your expression. Can you share the contents of your Dictionary variable?

    Hi @noar,

Just tried it with that variable and the same expression. Still unable to reproduce your issue.

Only difference I can see is that you have an enter in your compose (Generate Random Password action). Can you remove that line and see if that makes a difference?

    1. One addition blank line in compose

    2. Make sure it looks like below

    @Expiscornovus

Spot on! the extra space was the problem in the compose.

Do you by any chance have the link to the Microsoft doc that explains the link kind and role ? I am trying to comprehend what is the role versus the value.

    Thank you very much !
