How Can I Get the Name of the Person Assigned to the Approval in Power Automate?

I am working on creating a Microsoft Power Automate flow to streamline our approval process. The goal is to automatically send a message in Teams and an email to the approver once an approval request is assigned to them. The message will notify them with something like:
"Hey, we have assigned you an approval request. Please review and approve it."

However, I am facing a challenge: I cannot find a way to retrieve the respondent's ID or any related details in Dataverse. This is making it difficult to identify the person to whom the approval has been assigned.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Any guidance on fetching the name or ID of the assigned approver in Power Automate would be greatly appreciated.

I am rather confused by your post. How are you assigning the approval to someone in the first place if you don't know who they are? The approval requires you to enter the e-mail address of the approver. If you have that, you have the ID of the user and can use the Get User Profile action to get their name.

As long as you don't set enable notifications to no in the approval, the flow will automatically send an e-mail and a notification in Teams to the person assigned.

    Hi @BK-10121741-0,

I agree with @David_MA, if you are creating the approvals, the details should be known in the context of the flow.

Unless your flow gets triggered after creation, are you using a Dataverse trigger with the Approvals Request table?

In that case a Get row by Id on the Users table would be a way to lookup the related details of the Owner (value) property.
