Sending Monthly Copilot Studio Agent Credit Usage to Owners

Hi everyone,

Has anyone found a reliable way to notify agent owners about their monthly credit consumption?

I heard that the following licensing endpoint (no official documentation) can be used to retrieve Copilot Studio message usage data per environment, but I have not been able to get it working in Power Automate yet: https://licensing.powerplatform.microsoft.com/v0.1-alpha/tenants/@{variables('varTenantId')}/entitlements/MCSMessages/environments/@{item()?['name']}/resources?fromDate=@{variables('varStart')}&toDate=@{variables('varEnd')}

Has anybody successfully implemented this, or found another way to send automated monthly usage reports to agent owners?

Don't use the undocumented v0.1-alpha URL as your production dependency.

Instead:
Agent Inventory → Usage metrics → Usage History → map Agent → Owner → Power Automate monthly notification

and, where you need an actual consumption cap:

Power Platform admin center → Copilot Studio → Manage Agents → Monthly Credit Limit.

That gives you a much more supportable architecture and aligns with Microsoft's current Copilot Studio/Agent Kit capabilities.

We had also considered the first option. However, it still requires manual steps to export the report. :/

Hello @Louisa# -The best option I can think of is to integrate Copilot Studio with Azure Application Insights. You can refer to the following Microsoft documentation for setting up the integration:

On top of Application Insights, you can configure alerts to notify the agent owner when consumption reaches a certain threshold.

I would recommend having two levels of monitoring:

Daily Report: Provide details about the agent's daily usage/consumption.
Threshold Alert: If consumption exceeds a defined daily threshold, immediately notify the owner instead of waiting for the daily report.
