Getting stuck at "G"

I'm creating a contacts app which syncs to the phone contacts through outlook.

On start I am creating a collection of all the users which is pulled from O365:

ClearCollect(collAllUsers, Filter(Office365Users.SearchUserV2({isSearchTermRequired:false}).value,!("Archive" in DisplayName) ));

In trying to get the app to compare all these users  above to a list of users pulled from the contacts outlook folder, I noticed that the app wouldn't display past the letter G, there seams to be some limit on the amount of results in the gallery. I've tried debugging and believe I have narrowed it down to the above code.

Does anyone have any insight on to why it does not display past G or how to get past G?

How many people are in the O365 directory?  The collection you are creating will be subject to delegation so if your delegation limit is 500 the collection will only have the first 500 records from the O365 directory.

    Hi @BR-UKPS ,

You might have reached the delegation limit of the App.

    1. Try increasing the Delegation Limit to 2000 which is maximum in your App settings.

    2. Since #1 won't be effective if you have more records, then use Pagination. With the help of pagination, you can go till the end but this is helpful for viewing records. You can refer Reza Dorrani's YT video for Pagination.

    3. Creating collection, I am certain that people have used Power Automate flow to capture around 5000 or 10000 records in collection.

    Hope this helps

My directory has 1500 but is likely to grow.

I increased the delegation limit and removed the "filter" but still hit the error, I added a simple

    CountRows(Gallery2.Allitems)

and saw that it was displaying 999 so still not all of them. When adding the Filter back I'd only see 92 Items.

    Hi @BR-UKPS ,

Okay, now let me guide you how your delegation pattern works with gallery.

    1. Keep gallery on the side of your screen with all the records in it.

    2. Keep a Label control outside Gallery on same screen to show

    CountRows(Gallery2.Allitems)

    3. Let's say you have 999 Records without filter and you have more records. Scroll to the end of the Gallery till the last item of Gallery. You will observe your count of records just got increased.

    4. This is because the App takes certain portion of data in the App without flooding the everything to give performance boost and stable working operations.

    5. Your pagination will use the same mechanism to fetch records part by part while extending records from your datasource. This will increase your apps performance.

Hope this helps you understand the pagination can effectively bring records as needed without being stuck with limited records in the App.

I tried steps 1-3 but the records didn't increase even after waiting, I made a video to help you see after my last attempt.

I understand the pagination can help but it can only help if all the data is coming through, If I add the pagination that just effects the 999 records and not the other 600.

Have you tried alternate method using Power Automate Flow?

    1. Send a Request to trigger Flow and collect all your records then send back response as collection to PowerApps. By this you can process your records.

    Hope this helps
