Hi,

I'm trying to use a start of the month expression to populate a web form field, but Power Automate is passing this as text. Would be grateful for any help.

You are using "Populate text field" which is probably why it is passing as Text...is it not supposed to be text, or is it in the wrong format?

If it's not supposed to be text, try changing to the appropriate comment such as "Set drop down list".

If it is supposed to be text, and it is simply in the wrong format, use Convert Date to Text and populate the text field with the result.  When using Convert Date to Text, ensure you use MM for month as mm stand for minutes.

    Best of Luck!

Thanks, I'm new to Power Automate, how do I do such things that you've recommended?

I am not familiar with the UTC start of month option.  I get dates like this:

Once you have a date as a variable (%BDTM% in my example), the "Convert datetime to text" parameters look like this:

Let me know if you need anymore help.

You're expecting to populate the field with the result of this expression?

    Not sure PAD supports this.

You can work with text or variables. For variables, you have to use % notation.
