Download excel file from teams

Hi,

 

I'm trying to setup a flow that will Download excel file from teams to a file location on my laptop or work network.

I have tried get file content, but the file type it downloads is not a excel file.

Any easy was to do this please?

    Getting the file content is one thing, the next is to create a new file in the selected location using the retrieved file contents. 

     

    Can you please share a screenshot of your flow for reference?

    I see you did not include the file extension in the file name. Set the File Name field to:

    Maintenance Planning.xlsx

    Thanks, this worked once.

    I deleted the file to try again and now i am getting the following

    Hi @KT61 ,

     

    To prevent duplication, you can insert a timestamp in the file name:

    Maintenance Planning @{utcNow()}.xlsx

    is there any way to replace the file and keep the name and just "Maintenance Planning"?

    Hi @KT61 ,

     

    Try inserting a "Delete file" action before the "Create file" action which should delete the file first. Like this there should be no duplication. You will have to remove the timestamp from the file name to make this work though.
