How to get the "created by" contact

Hey,

I am trying to build a flow where I need the ID of the contact who fills out a form. When I use the dataverse trigger "When a row is added, modified or deleted", getting "Created by" in the dynamic content only gives me the system user.

How do I get the ID of the contact who was logged in when the form was filled out?

Appreciate any help on how to do this or an alternative way to get the same result. Many thanks!

Hi there,

I'd just like some clarification, since you say "form" but then you reference dataverse -- where is this form? Are you talking about a Microsoft Form? If so, you can just do this:

Hi,

Sorry about that, I mean in Power Pages.
I found the solution you refer to, but I didn't find a way to put an MS Form in the Power Page, only the Dataverse ones. Do you know how?

I found the solution myself.

I had to turn on "assiociate current portal user" in the form settings and create a lookup to the contacts table. Now the name of the lookup shows up in dynamic content. 🙂
