In my knowledge when Auto Save is “ON” in a Model Driven App “Save” button should appear only before the record is saved. After the first saving it should be replaced by a small “Floppy” icon in the right lower corner. In addition, auto saving should save all changes on a form after 30”. This is also what we can find on Microsoft DOC: Disable auto-save in a model-driven app with Power Apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn (this article was updated on March 13th 2023, only a few days ago).
But this is not in my experience, and I note quite a few discrepancies:
- Save Button is always there.
- The small “floppy like” icon does not show up anymore.
- Saving seems to be immediate, without the 30” delay (this shows that Auto Save is “ON”, but it does not work as it should).
Am I missing anything? How could I get the documented behavior in my model driven power apps? I will highly appreciate any suggestion, because “the new undocumented behavior” is creating me some problems with one of my customers.
