Get Full name from Email address.

Thank you all in advance for your help.

I have a sharepoint database that has 3 columns, supervisor_email,RO_email, BA_email.

I run a powerapp that poppulates the sharepoint with the appopriate email.

My problem is that i want to get from inside the microsoft flow their full name from their email.

This way i can update my sharepoint database and use it for future approval emails.

I am not sure if there is possibility to do that.

@DarkLord22 Do all the users have a 365 or Azure AD account in your organisation?
If yes then you can use either the 365 user connector or the Azure AD connected to get the full details of the user.

For example you can use the following connecter for 365 users:

They all have 365 emails can you explain in more detail how i can do it?

Bellow picture of what i am trying to do.

So should i place another update item after the get user?

@DarkLord22 You can put the 365 action before the update then update the item in sharepoint in one action. Use the dynamic content from PowerApps for the email field and the dynamic content from 365 for the name field.

For example:

Obvioulsy my list fields aren't exactly the same as yours, this just happens to be a list I have that includes email and full name.

@DarkLord22 the way you have your flow configured, although you are getting the user profile you aren't doing anything with it. You need to move the Get user profile BEFORE the update item action then use the Display name to populate the column in SharePoint. Although my image below is using Forms as the trigger the principle is the same.

I want to store the 3 different full names to different sharepoint columns.

@DarkLord22 You will need to add the 'get user profile' 3 times seperately in your flow and each time use the relevant input from PowerApps. I advise renaming each of them so its obvious which is which.

It can be done in a loop with an array which would be a more elegant solution but the above should work just fine.

Can you explain more how i can do it with a loop.

Since i have another flow that trigers when i do a change at the sharepoint database thus it will run 3 times if i do it 1 by 1, resulting in spam of emails...

@DarkLord22 You can still perform one update to the sharepoint list without using a loop for the get 365 users.
Just add the get 365 3 times then add one update item with the values from each 'get 365'.

@DarkLord22 This is a known issue with Flow. Try copying your whole flow by using the 'save as' feature to a new flow then run it again.
