Hi everyone

Can someone please help me when a response is submitted from forms I already have a flow that creates a new excel sheet which already has a type of template with the first sheet as a table and there is other sheets with other information. I want to add the forms responses to the table thus I'm using the add a row to the table in the template but the flow does not pick up the table name and thus I cannot add the information. So the flow works to create the file but from thereon it does not work. The current flow is: When a response is submitted->Get response details->File content->Create file... Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Can you show a screenshot of the flow?  Are you creating a new Excel file each time?  If you are then it will be difficult to get the table.  You'll probably have to create the table in the flow and then add the content to it.

Yes I want to create a new file each time since the form is basically to get details for a quote. Thus then creating a new quote each time a response is submitted and then importing the data from the form to the excel sheet to use in the next sheets to go on with the costing process.

    Here is the flow:

What other flow can you suggest that will be better for this?

Thank you very much I appreciate the help thus far.

I already made the flow you suggested and that worked... I just wanted to have a file with the table already manipulated to other cells thus when importing the data from forms, the file already adjusts everything else. Which I can't do with this flow if I'm correct...

Flow that works the other way around:

What I'm suggesting is that this flow with the Create Table is the way you have to do it.  Then add a short delay between the create table and the Add a row.  At that point you should be able to use the reference to the table you created from the create table action. I've done it that way on a few flows.  But just copying a template from an existing file won't work because the table isn't actually identified by name within the file.  Its identified by a Guid.  When you copy the contents I believe that guid will change so there is no easy way to get the table name dynamically.
