On Error handling does not work with IE

Hi PAD community,

In my flow I've just had a case where flow failed on action 'Launch new Internet Explorer'  and Launch mode is set to 'Attach to running Internet Explorer'. In all my actions I set 'On error' handling by retry action and if that doesn't work it is set to run my other subflow called 'Send Error Email'.

I don't know why but if error is 'Browser is unavailable' the error handling doesnt work. It just stops the process at that action and shows the error.

I even tried to set new rule to set variable if it fails but that doesn't work either.

In advanced option I tried to set new rule on Failed to launch IE but it' not working.

In Softomotive winautomation and processrobot those kind of errors  were handled with no problem.

Is anyone else having the same problem? Any thoughts on this?

Regards,

Kresimir

Ok, I have an update with this issue. I just tried exactly the same thing but with Chrome browser instance and then it works like it should.

So my conclusion is that it is definitely PAD bug that needs to be fixed, hopefully with the next update.

You probably just have to come to terms with the fact that Internet Explorer interaction does not work as well in PAD as it did in WA.

Which is pretty sad, considering PAD is Microsoft.

@Kresimir_RPA You can try Attach to running Internet Explorer action within the if Window condition.

So if the browser is open then you can attach Else send an email. I hope this helps you for now.
