Where can i change user values on Dataverse for teams

Hi all,

I have 2 problems

First :

Via dataverse for teams, i'm trying to change user values like "Job title" or "Business phone".... but i don't know how to do this. When i check the columns of the user table like "User.FieldName" i can see a lot of fields. Here's an exemple where i'm able to get "Fonction" field from User table.

When i try to show those fields as column on table, i can't. I'm just able to add "Created on", "Modified on", and "Modified By".

There's restrictions on this table? I'm not able to add "Fonction" column !

Second :

The field "Business Phone" doesn't exist in the user table via dataverse for teams.

Someone know where to change values of systemusers via dataverse for teams ?

Thanks for help.

I don't think you can change values in the user table without using a regular (not Dataverse for Teams) connection.  The user values you are seeing are part of the regular Dataverse tables, but are visible when using Dataverse for teams.  But as far as I know they are strictly Read Only from inside the Dataverse for Teams environment.

    Hi @Pstork1

Thanks for this reply which is very clear !

So if i understand, i must create a custom "User" table instead of the systemuser dataverse table ?

In this case, how can i do to create a new record to my custo user table when Azure AD or Office 365 user is created ?

    Thanks for help

You would probably need to run a Power Automate flow for that.  Unfortunately, I don't think there is a Trigger that fires when a new user is created so you would have to use a recurrence trigger and then list all the users that have a created date later than the last time the flow ran.  Then create the new users in your custom table.  Just make sure you create the flow using the Power Apps editor in Teams. Otherwise the flow won't be created inside the Dataverse for Teams environment and you'll have the same Premium license issue that you would have editing the regular user table.
