Dependent flows and 30 day timeouts

The scenario is this:

A master flow is kicked off, within the masterflow another flow is called (master flow is still running). Within this subflow a MS Teams adaptive card is triggered.. Fast forward 30 days and that card has expired and then the masterflow is hanging there open.

I believe I solved the 30day timeout issue in the subflow by retriggering the subflow..

This MAY be the issue within itself.. as I dont do anything from the masterflow level it master flow may not even know about this retriggered subflow.

Until just now, I thought the issue was the masterflow timing out too but Im not sure now.. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
