"Send Email" action fails - returns UnAuthorized

Hi,

Flow action "Office 365 Outlook - Send an email" is not working, and returns unauthorized. The connection to "Office 365 Outlook" is created using my credentials, it worked fine during testing.

When other user creates an item, this flow will be triggered and this "send email" needs to send the user who created item an email [like confirmation] and it is throwing "UnAuthorized" issue.

Do I need to add all the users as owners to the Flow / create Outlook connection with each one of them ?

    Hi @NajuCH,

What’s your current situation? Are you still having the issue?

Have you tried updating the connection of Office 365 Outlook?

Please make sure users should have proper permissions to edit the SharePoint list.

When error message contains Unauthorized, you can usually fix an authentication error by updating the connection. Please check the doc about Authentication failures at here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/flow/fix-flow-failures

Besides, I have made a test on my side. When an item is created, an email would be sent to creator. Without sharing the flow with other users as Owner, when others create/modify the item, it can be triggered and run successfully. Of course, other users have proper mission on editing the list.

Please try again with it and feel free post back if you are still having the issue.

    Best regards,

    Mabel

    Hi @v-yamao-msft,

The issue is resolved now ! We reached out to MS Flow team, after hours of troubleshooting, we realized the issue is with "Size of attachments".

When user creates an expense, they will attach multiple files, all together they are reaching max size limit. So, as an alternative, when user submits an expense, all the attachments will be moved to SP library [using another flow] and in the email we are just referring link to the folder.

This really drove me crazy, because the error message states "UnAuthorized" and there are no other details other than that. We added user group to flow owners, delegated super-user permission on mailbox [who can send mail on behalf of anyone] but none resolved the issue. Finally 'size' is the culprit.

    Hope this helps others.

    Thanks !
