Hello,
I'm trying to use Power Pages to create a simple customer portal. Basically we have a header line relationship (Estimate Header and Estimate Line), I have a page that allows a logged in user to edit an Estimate Header record, there is a form created and exposed on a page for this, the form takes a query string parameter to find the correct record. On the form there is also a subgrid, now this filters to the correct records just fine, however there appears to be no way to add edit and delete options to the lines that appear in this subgrid. The List that is setup on the subgrid allows all the actions, if i add it separately (not as a subgrid) then everything works fine however the list then isn't filtered correctly.
This appears to be a bug, my list has the appropriate actions setup, it's in an EDITABLE GRID but is not editable, there may be something I'm missing of course but i've found power pages to be one of the worst development experiences i've ever encountered. I've found myself having to straddle at least 5 different websites to not achieve anything complex and sometimes have to switch into classic mode to get to certain features... I have spent hours and hours trying to find a solution, this should be really simple, i'd go as far as to say i could've developed an .Net MVC website in far less time... this is such a basic requirement I'm actually stunned at how difficult it has been!!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
